For todays blog I thought I could talk about my workflow for the pictures in Erikas folder.

After the shoot I started by downloading my RAW files into Canon Digital Photo Pro and converting the files into a TIFF that I then download into Photomatix Pro and tonemap that single image, once I'm done it goes back into Canon Digital Photo Pro for light tweaking mostly contrast and light level. From there it goes into Portrait Professional 11 where I the picture is adjusted to smooth out skin tone, facial sharpness  and remove blemishes. Back again into Canon Digital Photo Pro but just to output it into Elements where I clean up the picture removing distracting items, sharpening or blurring (whichever one I decide fits the picture best),burning & dodging, I also do my black and white conversions here. Once finished it goes back into Canon where I keep the TIFF for storage and convert it into a JPEG for the website or for prints. I know thats a convuleted path and could probably be streamlined if you have any ideas let me know.

Thanks,

Michael
